What does a videographer do?

A videographer shoots and often edits video for events, brands, and social — overlapping with cinematographers on small Nepal crews. Hire a videographer on CineGrid.

Videographer is the role people search when they need someone to show up with a camera, light an interview, and sometimes edit. A cinematographer is usually hired for a designed look and a director relationship. In Kathmandu the same person may use both titles — the gigs tell you which jobs they actually take.

Typical videography jobs

Weddings and events, corporate interviews, YouTube, real-estate, and social ads. They often work with a gimbal, a mirrorless or cinema camera, a lav mic, and a small LED kit. Rent extras on CineGrid if the job grows (second camera, drone operator, gaffer).

If the brief is a music video or a film scene, start with directors and cinematographers as well. If it is coverage and a fast cut, a videographer plus a video editor may be enough.
