A film crew is the people who make the pictures, sound, and cut — not only the camera. On a Nepal commercial you might need a director, cinematographer, camera operator, gaffer, sound recordist, makeup artist, and later a video editor and colorist. On a one-person branded-content job, a videographer may cover several of those roles.
Start with the job, not the title
Write what “done” looks like: length, format (ad, music video, interview, event), city, dates, and whether you already have a camera package. Then look for people who have finished that kind of work. A cinematographer who only lights narrative is a poor fit for a conference keynote.
Use profiles and gigs together
CineGrid freelancer pages show profession, location, and a public bio. Gigs are the portfolio — the actual videos and photos. Read both. Message from the profile. Do not hire from a title alone.
Typical Nepal crew sizes
Interview or product film: videographer or DP, maybe a gaffer and an editor. Music video: director, DP, camera operator, gaffer, makeup, editor, colorist. Larger narrative: add producer, DIT, production designer, costume. Rent lighting and grip with the people who know how to use them.
If you are the freelancer, keep your professional role accurate (cinematographer, video editor, photographer) and put finished work in gigs so searches for film jobs in Kathmandu can actually find you.
