Introduction

CineGrid Platforms, LLC (hereinafter, "CineGrid", "we", or "us"), is the owner of CineGrid.net, which is an online platform that facilitates the listing and rental or purchase of cinema and film production equipment (including but not limited to cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, audio equipment, grip and electric gear, post-production hardware, drones, and other filmmaking equipment), production locations, and related services (collectively, hereinafter, "Listing" or "Listings").

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Platform, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Platform Coverage: We provide the Platform for use only by persons located in the United States. We make no claims that the Platform is accessible or appropriate outside of the United States.

Children Under the Age of 18

Age Restriction: Our Platform is intended for Users who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Any use by anyone under eighteen (18) is expressly prohibited.

No one under age eighteen (18) may provide any information to or on the Platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under eighteen (18). If we learn we have collected personal information from a minor under eighteen (18) without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

Device Permissions and Location Services

📷 Camera Access for KYC Verification

We request camera access to facilitate Know Your Customer (KYC) verification processes. This allows you to:

  • • Take selfies for identity verification
  • • Upload verification documents directly from your device

Note: Camera access is only requested when you initiate the KYC verification process. We do not access your camera without your explicit permission, and all captured images are securely transmitted and stored for verification purposes only.

📍 Location Access for KYC and Rentals

We request location access for two primary purposes:

  • KYC Verification: To verify your location as part of identity verification requirements
  • Rental Services: To enable location-based features for equipment rentals, including:
  • - Finding nearby equipment and rental locations
  • - Tracking rental equipment location for security and logistics
  • - Facilitating pickup and delivery coordination

Note: Location data is collected only when you grant permission and is used solely for the purposes stated above. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings, though some features may be limited.

Your Control: You can revoke camera or location permissions at any time through your device settings. However, certain features of the Platform may not function properly without these permissions.

Location Tracking for Rental Services

When you rent equipment through CineGrid, we may collect and track location data to:

Location tracking is only active during active rental periods and is automatically disabled when the rental period ends. We do not track your location when you are not actively using rental services.

Data Retention: Location data collected during rental periods is retained for a reasonable period to support insurance claims, dispute resolution, and compliance with legal obligations. This data is securely stored and only accessible to authorized personnel.

Advertisement Click Tracking and Curated Results

CineGrid uses click tracking technology to improve our advertising services and provide you with relevant, curated results. This includes:

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate requests that would violate laws or cause information to be incorrect.

By continuing to use our Platform after modifications are posted, you agree to be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
