Job titles on Nepal sets are often collapsed: the “cameraman” may be the cinematographer, operator, and editor. Still, the crafts are different. Use the right role when you search CineGrid so you are not hiring a graphic designer for a drone slot.
Picture
Director leads the performances and overall intent. Cinematographer (DP) designs camera, light, and movement. Camera operator runs the body. Gaffer runs lighting. DIT manages media and looks on set. Drone operator flies when you have permission.
Sound, design, and talent
Sound designer or location sound records dialogue and atmosphere. Production designer and costume designer build the world. Makeup artists and hair work talent. Scriptwriters and voice-over artists sit earlier or later in the chain. Music producers score or produce tracks for ads and films.
Post-production
Video editor cuts picture. Colorist grades. Motion-graphics and VFX artists add titles, compositing, and 3D. A “video editor” in Kathmandu may also colour and motion — read the gigs.
Photographers and videographers cover stills, events, and hybrid photo/video jobs that are not always a full film crew. All of these professions have freelancer directories on CineGrid when enough public profiles exist.
